Traffic lanes, parking areas and other perimeter changes on a property can be accomplished quickly and easily with installation of removable bollards.

Removable bollards are an ideal way to adapt to changing traffic control requirements. These bollards guide and direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic to go where they should go, and stay away from places they should not be. When the configuration of the removable bollard layout needs to be changed, it is easy to change the positions and placements of these bollards to provide definition or deterrence while still maintaining security.
Bollard configurations may need to be changed in a variety of settings:
- Community Events
For community facilities where events are scheduled, the size of the event, security clearance levels, or changing traffic pattern requirements might mean that removable traffic bollards need to be moved to different site access locations from event to event.
- Large Scale Property Maintenance
For properties where large-scale maintenance work is occasionally needed, removable bollards may need to temporarily block an area from vehicular access, but later be removed to allow bigger trucks to get through at scheduled intervals.
- Bike Paths, Walkways, Greenways, Trails or Historical Sites
Seasonal closing of public access areas may require removable bollards to help deter pedestrians or vehicles for several weeks or months out of the year.
Removable bollards can be lifted from their base and stored elsewhere, or placed into another previously installed below-grade receiver to provide reconfigured traffic flow patterns or to allow/prevent access to specific areas.
Removable bollards from Reliance Foundry help with
seasonal opening or closing of paths or driveways
While planning and anticipating future protection needs based on traffic changes, architects and designers will often install the in-ground receivers in a variety of bollard positions, and often with mixed configurations (removable bollards, fixed bollards, removable bike bollards, etc.) When the bollard is not in the receiver the top is flush with the pavement. Reliance has different mounting options to address different material types and preferences. The styling options for
Reliance Foundry’s removable bollards provide consistent appearances when they are used in combination with fixed bollards on the same property.
Traffic pattern needs for pedestrians and vehicles change more frequently for some properties than others. When this is the case for your facility, removable bollards give you both flexibility and strength to keep things safe and traffic flowing smoothly.
Traffic control bollards aid in communicating, directing and changing the flow of traffic; whether for vehicles, bikes or pedestrians. Removable bollards are installed to be removed from time to time to help with traffic control management. They can deter traffic from walkways to enhance pedestrian safety, or they can be used to enclose car "free" zones - providing authorized access only as required from time to time.
