A: All orders are shipped complete with Bollards, mounting hardware kit and installation instructions. These parts are all are individually packaged for protection against damage during shipping.
Q: Do you supply the pipe for the Security Anti/Ram Mounting Option?
A: We do not supply the pipe for our bollard installtion kits. As a commodity product, this price is most often readily available at a lower cost closest to our customers' sites.
Q: What installation methods are available for mounting Bollards?
A: The various ways to install our bollards can generally be described by the following three mounting methods;
  • Our Standard bollard mounting option is used mainly for applications involving new construction, where new or existing concrete, asphalt or landscaping will be employed.
  • Our Security Anti/Ram mounting bollard option is used for maximum protection against vehicular penetration, or to reduce risk to pedestrians from vehicles.
  • Our Removable mounting option is used when the bollard must be removed easily or frequently (i.e. for emergency vehicle access).

For further installation information, refer to our general installation instructions for our bollards or download specific installation instructions for each of our bollard models.
Q: When installing a Bollard, how close should the Bollards be spaced apart?
A: Bollards provide one of the simplest means of controlling access by vehicles. The distance between the bollards will determine the types of user that will be able to pass.

The recommended placing the bollards a minimum gap of 4 (four) feet will allow access by pedestrians, people with strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, and motorcycles – but should prevent passage by most vehicles.

The preferred gap of 5 (five) feet provides a little more space for people to pass and is still inaccessible to most vehicles.
Q: When installing a Bollard, what if there are utilities and underground pipes that I am not aware of?
A: For safety purposes prior to the bollard installation, it is recommended that an x-ray of the area that will be excavated or core drilled be taken. This can save you expensive down time and the possibility of injury if water pipes, gas lines or underground wiring is accidentally hit.
Q: Do you offer Bollard installation?
A: We do not offer installation. You will have to contact a general contractor in your area; we may be able to provide some contractor names for you.
Q: Do you sell plastic Bollards? What materials are your bollards made from?
A: Our metal Bollards are made from Ductile Iron (similar to Cast Iron), Aluminum and Steel. Other manufacturers offer plastic, polymer, wood, stone or concrete bollards, but those are not part of our product line.
Q: What are the sizes and dimensions of the bollards?
A: Our bollards range in size from 4" to 16" in diameter and 23" to 53" in height. To compare the dimensions, including maximum interior pipe sizes, download our Bollard Brochure.
Q: Do you offer crash rated pipe bollards?
A: At present we do not offer crash rated or pedestrian rated bollards; our Bollards are intended to act as decorative wraps over top of steel security posts. The crash rating would largely be determined by the steel security post that our bollard would cover.
Q: Why won't your brochure download?
A: Most of our documents are in Adobe PDF format, and can be found at various locations throughout the web site, or on our Downloads page.
