Optional Removable Bollard Mounting Kits

Many of Reliance Foundry's decorative bollards can be transformed into functional bollards using one of two removable bollard mounting kits

Reliance Foundry has two styles of removable bollard mounting kits available. These kits allow for the installation of many decorative bollards with a readily removable mounting. These removable bollards are lockable to help ensure unauthorized persons do not remove the bollards.

Removable & Retractable Bollard Mounting Kits

This optional removable/retractable bollard mounting kit is designed for quick removal of our bollards, while also allowing the bollard mount to retract into the grade when the bollard is not in place.

This removable & retractable mounting system requires the operator to pull a pin from the base of the bollard before the bollard is removed from its mounting. Once the bollard is removed, the mounting bracket is twisted and retracted into its mount creating a mount that is flush with the grade posing no tripping hazard.

Removable Bollard Mounting Kits

This optional removable bollard mounting kit is designed for quick removal of our bollards, and can easily be converted to our standard mounting option if field service requirements change. The removable mounting system requires the operator to pull a pin from the base of the bollard before the bollards is removed from its mounting. Once the bollard is removed, the mounting bracket should be moved away from its position (requiring a securing bolt to be removed first) to eliminate any potential tripping hazard.

Notes:

1. Reliance Foundry's standard, decorative fixed bollard mounting system allows for the occansional removal of bollards from their mountings (using hand tools), but not as easily or readily as with these unique removable bollard mounting kits.
2. In order to allow for a quickly removable pin, bollards installed with this removable mounting kit will not sit as tight against the grade as they would with a permanently mounted bollard. This play is by design, and is minimized by our new cam-lock removable mount design.
3. Many customers prefer the bollards used for both of these removable configurations to be produced in aluminum (if available for the particular model) as aluminum is much lighter for easy bollard removal.
