Installation of Reliance Foundry’s Bollards
Our bollards are easy to install and offer several distinct mounting methods:
General Installation Details
Our metal bollards can be quite heavy, depending on the model and material selected. Take all precautions to avoid injury from falling onto hands, feet, etc., and ensure proper resources are available for lifting of these Bollards into place and onto their mountings.
Where rows of bollards are intended to be installed, use a chalk line to make sure all bollard bases are aligned correctly. This will provide a uniform look after completion of the bollard row.
Some of Reliance Foundry’s bollards are available in stainless steel, while most are available in either steel, iron or aluminum with a strong, long-lasting powder coat finished. It is essential to protect the bollard surfaces from damage during installation.
- Keep all parts in their packaging until the exact moment of installation.
- During installation, place unwrapped powder coated parts on packaging foam or other non-abrasive surface.
- Do not place, slide or drag powder coated parts on concrete or other hard or abrasive surfaces, as this may damage the finish and cause rusting to occur.
- If abrasions or scratches occur during installation, it is important to use touch-up paint to repair any finish discontinuities. See our bollard care and maintenance details for for further instructions.
